   Yes.

2. Do I have to pay for access in order to download your objects?

   Yes.

3. How much will it cost?

   That information is provided on the pricing page.

4. Do you offer any trial memberships for free?

   No because you could download everything that we have and that would be unfair to the members that pay.

5. So why charge money for 8DS instead of having it for free like 7DS?

   MANY reasons:

   1. This kind of content isn't permitted with our advertisers. We wouldn't have support through them anymore, so unfortunately that's NOT an option. And since 8DS isn't a porn site, we don't want to subject you to porn advertising, as I'm sure you don't. :)
   2. To keep people under the age of 18 out. I know, I know, there are MANY "mature" young adults out there, but to be honest, this is the "politically" correct way of doing things, and unfortunately I can't change that fact.
   3. To ban people who like to "steal". It's a better way of securing our content. If someone steals our stuff , they won't EVER be able to get back into the site. Trust me, I've had to deal with this many times. This is simply a better way to have security within our site. Much like the same reasons Maxis are going to be doing with SimsOnline.
   4. To help pay for itself AND 7DS. As much as donations help us, we can't trust that everyone will support us every month. And it's not fair to the 30-40 that do donate money to 7DS, while 1000's of people use 7DS all the time. The Sims Resource is making t-shirts and selling newsletters. That's how THEY are making ends meet. 8th Deadly Sim is OUR way, simple as that. I don't want to charge money for you to get into 7DS, as I'm sure you don't.

6. Why don't you just add this kind of content to 7DS?

   Because as sinful as 7DS is, it truly is a clean site. Any age can enter, and there is nothing on the site that would be too unacceptable compared to the content on the new site. By adding this kind of stuff to 7DS, we risk losing our advertisers and support. It's clearly not worth it. You may ask "Well there are a lot of objects/skins on 8DS that could easily go into 7DS". Very true, when we first decided we wanted to make an adult site, the intention was to make it strictly for adults. As time went by, it was obvious that I wasn't going to be able to make 100% adult objects. Especially for the strip club theme, as you may have noticed. The only "adult" oriented things are the skins. But 8DS is the way to make 7DS stay free, and since we have the parent lock implemented, it shouldn't be a problem for someone under 18 to obtain these objects.

1. I forgot my password.

   If you have forgotten your password you can have it emailed to you.

2. It keeps saying that my email address has already been taken. What's going on?

   Most likely you already have already registered (even if you have not paid). You can click members to login and/or pay.

1. I got an AVS Address Mismatch error, or a Card Code Mismatch when i tried to pay with a credit card, but I checked my account and it says my card was charged and I don't have access to the site.

   In the case credit card company is waiting for us (actually Authorize.net, the company we use for credit card processing) to finalize the transaction, but we won't because either the address or card code (CVV2) doesn't match.

   If you wait for a few days, the transation will timeout and the charge will disappear from your online statement. You can make another payment attempt before that time and it will not affect the first charge from timing out.

2. Will you take a money order or check?

   No.

3. What does it want for Card Code?

   It's talking about a 3 or 4 digit number (referred to as CVV2, CVC2, or CID) that is printed on the credit card. either just above the last digits of the card number on the front, or on the back, the last numbers that are printed on the strip that you sign.

4. I tried to pay with a credit card but I got an AVS Mismatch error.

   You need to contact your credit card company and make sure they have the correct address.

5. I tried to pay with a credit card but I got an Duplicate Transaction error.

   In order to keep people from getting charged twice because they clicked the submit button twice, it does not process the second transaction and gives this error.

   Try closing your browser and trying again.

6. What if I don't have a credit card and am very willing to pay for the site?

   You are sol.

7. I paid but it is not letting me in. What's up?

   It could be one of the following problems:

   1. You need to click the members link. Refreshing the Payment screen will not work.
   2. You have two accounts and you are logged in to the one that has not been paid for. Close your browser and try using another account. ( We recommend only having one account! )
   3. If you are still unable to get in, email support@8thdeadlysim.com for help.

8. How do I give 8ds time as a gift or pay for someone elses account?
   1. Have the person create an 8ds account or give you the username or id if they already have one.
   2. You must also have an account, but it doesn't have to be paid for. Go here
   3. Just find the user and then pay.

1. Is 8DS a porn site?

   No! We're bringing the PG-13 rating of The Sims up a notch. I don't know about you, but being 29, there's only so much I can take with a PG-13 rating. I'm an adult, we're assuming the people subscribing to the site are as well, SO we act like adults, it's more common sense objects than anything. And the same respect I give 7DS with our content is the same I will with 8DS.

2. What other kinds of things other than objects/skins/etc. are going to be included with 8DS?

   One big advantage of subscribing to 8DS, that not a lot of people may know, is that you won't have to worry about banner ads on 7DS! Which will help browsing through 7DS a lot faster. We are also moving the deathmatches to 8DS, they fit perfectly with the violent side of the site, and they'll save some bandwidth usage from 7DS. You will also have access to our forums. We'll also have other extras, but those are yet to be determined.

3. Am I going to know what's in 8DS before I buy?

   Of course! We'll have tons of previews of what's in 8DS on the front page, so you'll know exactly what's on the site.
